Maggie Kelly is a professionally trained dancer from Komoka, Ontario, Canada, well versed in all disciplines of dance. Maggie began dancing at the tender age of three, and competing only four years later. Maggie received early acceptance to the Joffrey Ballet School at age 17, with a $1,000.00 scholarship, and moved to New York City the following year to begin her professional training. Maggie studied under the tutelage of the artistic director, Michael Blake, among many other highly regarded professionals, for one year. Maggie then transferred to Steps on Broadway, and at Steps, completed six months of independent study.
In September 2017, Maggie joined the Steps Conservatory, and is now the first Canadian student to graduate from the program. At Steps, Maggie trained rigorously under Espen Giljane, Tiffany Rea-Fisher, Mike Esperanza, and Al Blackstone, among many others. Maggie was also selected to be JoLea Maffei's teaching assistant while in the program, and continues to assist her online.
Maggie relocated to Montreal, Quebec in early 2020 and continued dancing, training, and auditioning within the Quebecois community. She frequented the Edifice Wilder Espace Danse, where she trained in ballet under Alisia Pobega and Lisa Davies, and Circuit-Est, where she trained i various contemporary forms under Natalia Pieczuro, Helder Seabra and Lewis Cooke. In March, Maggie moved home to be with her family during the COVID-19 outbreak, but has continued her training through daily online classes and workshops.
